FREE TIME PROGRAMME ...team lingue International House believes that one of the steps to learning a language is to master the colloquialisms, such as those used in the newspapers. With this in mind we have developed Free Time Courses which integrate language learning with the students interests or hobbies. The school offers flexible programmes with a vast choice in culture, sport and entertainment. You can choose from going to restaurants, pubs, cafés, clubs, cinemas, theatres, concerts or the opera (Milan or Lecco), panoramic walks, fashion, museums, guided tours, or boat trips …and much more. This is the perfect opportunity for you to see the real Italian lifestyle from within. CULTURAL ACTIVITIES These programmes can be agreed upon before arrival or later on with the qualified tutors MUSIC (Opera, Classical, Jazz, Blues) - Introduction into the various aspects of music ART (Architecture, Painting, Sculpture) – An introductory insight into the world of Italian Art. ITALIAN COOKING - a practical course in what is thought to be the most appreciated cuisine in the world GUIDED VISITS ON FOOT, BY CAR, TRAIN OR BUS - To put into practice the language during tours of places of interest such as the Duomo in Milan, visits to Lake Como, The silk museum in Como, Lecco (the museum and the famous ‘via Manzoniana’) with its beautiful views of the lake, archaeological sites etc... SPORTS ACTIVITIES If you are interested in Golf we have arrangements with the Brianza Golf and Country Club which is only a 10 minute drive from Merate or with the Lecco Golf Club, which is, only, a 15 minute drive from Lecco. There is also a splendid 27 hole course at the Albenza Golf Club, which is, only, about 30 minutes from both of the schools. Arrangements have, also, been made with swimming pools and sports centres in the area.
